How it works
Whether You're Preparing or Recovering, We Meet You There
Pre-Surgery & Post-Rehab Clients
Going into surgery stronger means coming out of it better. "Prehab" — building strength and mobility before an operation — is linked to smoother recoveries. We prepare your body safely and intelligently for what's ahead.
Pre-Surgery Preparation
Physical therapy gets you out of pain and back to baseline. But there's a gap between "discharged from PT" and "strong and confident again." We fill that gap — rebuilding real strength so the progress you made doesn't slip away.
Post-Rehab Bridge
A bad knee, a repaired shoulder, a fused disc — none of it means you can't train. We specialize in working around limitations while safely strengthening everything around them, with clinical awareness in every session.
Training Around Limitations
What we believe
The Gap Between "Discharged" and "Yourself Again."
If you've just finished physical therapy, you know the feeling. You're out of the worst of it — but you're not back. PT ended, the appointments stopped, and you were handed a sheet of exercises and a "keep it up." And you know, deep down, that if you don't keep building, you'll slowly slide backward.
Or maybe surgery is ahead of you, and everyone's told you to just rest until then — when part of you suspects that going in stronger would help you come out better.
Either way, you're in the gap. The place the medical system doesn't quite cover — where you need to keep getting stronger, safely, with someone who actually knows how to coach a body that's been through something.
That's exactly what we do. We're not a replacement for your doctor or your physical therapist — we're the next step. The bridge from "medically cleared" to "strong, capable, and yourself again."
The approach
Individualized, Careful, and Built Around You
Because this work is specialized, most clients start with private one-on-one coaching — the highest level of individual attention, where every session is built around your body, your history, and your medical clearances. As you rebuild strength and confidence, many clients transition into our supportive semi-private personal training for the community and long-term consistency.
Every program is grounded in careful progression and clinical awareness, and includes our personalized nutrition system — because recovery and preparation are fueled by what you eat, too.
Start Where You Are
We begin with a thorough understanding of your history, your surgery or diagnosis, and any restrictions from your medical team — then build from there. Nothing generic, nothing rushed.
Progress Safely
Strength is built gradually and intelligently, respecting your clearances and your body's signals. We work around what needs protecting and strengthen everything around it.
Build Real Strength
The goal isn't just "back to baseline" — it's genuinely strong, capable, and resilient, so you're better protected against re-injury and ready for whatever life asks of you.
Coordinated Care
We're happy to work in coordination with your physical therapist or physician, so your training complements the care you're already receiving.
For referring providers
A Trusted Next Step for Your Patients
We work with physicians, orthopedic practices, and physical therapists across the South Shore who need a safe, competent place to send patients after formal rehabilitation — or to prepare them before a scheduled procedure.
Your patients receive individualized, professionally coached strength training that respects their clearances and limitations, with weekly objective tracking via InBody 570 body composition scans. We understand our scope: we are not a medical or rehabilitation provider, and we don't replace physical therapy. We're the strength-building bridge that helps your patients hold and extend the gains they made under your care.
We're glad to coordinate directly with your practice on appropriate patients. To refer a patient or learn more about how we work, reach out anytime.

Choosing the right fit
How We Structure It
Most clients doing pre-surgery or post-rehab work start with private one-on-one coaching, where every session is fully individualized around your body and your clearances. It's the safest, most tailored place to begin.
As you rebuild strength and confidence, many clients graduate into our semi-private training (6-to-1) — a supportive small-group setting that's ideal for long-term consistency and community once you're ready for it.
We'll help you decide the right starting point on your free consult — and adjust as you progress.

Common Questions
-
PT does its job — getting you out of pain and back to baseline. But baseline isn't full strength. Without continuing to build, many people slowly slide backward after PT ends. We pick up where therapy leaves off and rebuild real, lasting strength.
-
When it's done right and within your medical clearances, appropriate strength training is not only safe — building strength before surgery ("prehab") and rebuilding it after are both associated with better outcomes. We always work within the guidance of your medical team.
-
No — and we're clear about that. We're not a medical or rehab provider. We're the strength-building next step after PT, or the preparation before surgery. We're glad to coordinate with your care team.
-
Absolutely. We work with physicians, orthopedic practices, and physical therapists across the South Shore. If you're a provider, reach out and we'll be glad to discuss how we can support your patients.
-
Most clients start one-on-one for the individual attention this work requires, then transition into our supportive semi-private setting as they rebuild strength and confidence. We'll help you choose on your consult.
-
We're a private personal training studio, not a medical or physical therapy provider, so our services aren't billed through health insurance. That said, many clients find the investment worthwhile precisely because we pick up where insurance-covered care leaves off — rebuilding real, lasting strength after your covered PT visits run out. If you have an HSA or FSA, some clients are able to use those funds toward personal training when it's tied to a medical need; check with your plan administrator to see if you qualify. We're happy to provide documentation of your sessions to support that.
Don't Stop at "Recovered." Get Back to Strong.
Whether you're preparing for surgery or picking up where physical therapy left off, you don't have to navigate the gap alone. Book your free consult, and let's build a plan to get you all the way back — strong, capable, and confident.
